Rothwell is the westernmost suburb of Redcliffe City in Queensland, Australia.
The suburb’s name is after the president of the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland, TJ Rothwell, who in 1921 proposed a memorial drive marked by an avenue of trees to Redcliffe via the upgraded main road ( Anzac Avenue).
Rothwell is a growing business district, home to The Zone, a mixture of diverse businesses. There is a small supermarket in Rothwell but the major supermarkets are in neighbouring Deception Bay and Kippa-Ring. Rothwell is also a growing residential area, with many land lots being sold close to the shores of Deception Bay.
Located on the gorgeous Redcliffe peninsula, Rothwell has recorded strong price growth in recent years.
Separated from Moreton Bay by green spaces and wetlands, Rothwell is a fast-growing suburb with affordable bayside living. New developments in the young suburb have attracted young families as well as professionals
Families are well catered for with several primary, high and special schools in Redcliffe and surrounding suburbs. Those undertaking tertiary education have access to a TAFE campus on Klinger Road.
