Merijig is a town in Victoria, Australia, located between Mount Buller and Mansfield, in the scenic Great Dividing Range. This quaint town is frequently used as a base for people into skiing, fishing, horse-riding, hiking, Mountain biking and four-wheel driving.
A river, the Delatite River, passes right through the centre of town, which means there are some great picnic stops between Mount Buller and Lake Eildon, along the river. The local hotel was opened in 1873, and survives to this day.
An interesting fact; areas around Merijig were film locations for the great Australian movie, The Man From Snowy River.
